In the construction sector, mental health and suicide rates are up to 4X higher than the national average. That’s not right. We need to take action to build better lives for everyone working in the industry.
It’s a known fact that keeping fit and staying active outside of work is a great way to promote mental wellbeing. That’s why we created Feelgood Games – to bring everyone in the sector together to get moving and feel better.
Take up the challenge, get involved and pledge your activity to help make a difference. Whether you’re running, cycling, walking, or stretching – it’s time to get moving.
Feelgood Games is a fitness movement set up by the Pagabo Foundation to get the construction industry moving. Our second event took place on 15th of May 2023 at the John Charles Centre for Sport in Leeds and the date has already been set for the 20th of May 2024 for the next games.
Companies that entered competed against each other in a FUN, TEAM-BUILDING obstacle course, where it was in their best interests to work together, and also took part in a series of construction themed activities.
We encourage participants to get moving in any way, shape, or form to fundraise for the Foundation. The money raised will support our mission to have everyone in the construction sector trained as mental health first aiders.
Our aim is to put every construction employee through mental health first aid training, making it easier to spot and help those struggling at work. Every activity pledged brings us closer to this goal.
Following our successful events in 2022 and 2023, we’re looking to get companies (like you) to register their interest in our next event. So, are you ready to get started with your fundraising activities?
